We get asked this question a lot. And because we care more about the right fit than filling a cohort, here’s a straight answer.
The Diploma is for you if:
- You want to be genuinely good at this work — not just qualified to do it.
- You’re ready to have your current practice examined, stretched, and in places, rebuilt.
- You see career guidance as a skilled, relational discipline — not information delivery.
- You’re willing to record your own conversations, sit with feedback, and do the reflective work that real development requires.
- You can commit the time. This is around a year of serious study, not a light-touch add-on.
The Diploma probably isn’t for you if:
- You’re looking for a quick qualification to tidy up your CV.
- You want a self-paced online course you can dip in and out of.
- You’re not ready to have your assumptions about your own practice challenged.
- You see career work primarily as signposting and matching — and you’d like to keep it that way.
Why we’re this direct about it
